Opposed to the waste-to-energy incinerator

"I oppose the building of the incinerator for a couple of reasons. First of all I think that it's a project that there are still way too many questions for, unanswered questions for how committed we already are. Secondly I think its way too expensive...."

According to Doug Howard's website:

...We will long be paying for the half-filled high school that cost Carroll County more than $70 million. Now we face an incinerator that will cost more than $200 million and is wrong for our needs. The budget, taxes and public safety are serious issues. We need public service, not politics. For this reason, I am running for County Commissioner in district 5. I ask for your vote!
